Well, I was really impressed with this book. This was definitely the best book I have read by Laurran Dohner lately. If you are a junkie of sci-fi romance with a large portion of sci-fi adventure on the side, you will not be disappointed with book.
To be more precise...
...two thirds of the book feature hand-to-hand combat between human-eaters lizard-lookalike aliens (Ke’ters) and shifter panther-lookalike aliens(Veslors).
A human girl will be the hero who will take all the hard decisions and save the day.
....and one third of the book will feature an introductory 101 course on alien- human copulation. Thankfully both sides do not have any problems with experimentation.
I can see this book developing into an awesome scifi erotica/romance series and I can even see it connected to the Vorge Crew series.
It has every potential to be flourished into a space saga.

Once the initiates pass their test, they are discreetly branded with the mark of the society and are groomed through challenges during the course of their elite education to breed them into the influential people they were meant to be.
Once in The Elite Seven, there is no getting out. The money and power are their rewards. Should they choose to stray or break the rules, the society strips them of everything. Anything they once had will be removed. Opportunities will never arise. They will no longer have the support of the society. I think that was my least favourite book of the series and that's because hardly anything happens in the book.
York is sweet and nice, Sara is even sweeter and nicer than him. York needs someone to cuddle, Sara needs a protector because she cannot go back to Earth. So they get married because it is the best solution for both of them.
The rest of the Vorge crew is happy about their happiness and they help them stay together. York's ex lover is happy for him, but also sad because he was her back-up plan.
Bad aliens are punished and Vorge, the “Ark of the refuges, the placed out, the unwanted, the mischievous, the Earth girls” is once more full with love.
I am looking forward to Raff's story.

I think Raff has had the most adventurous story of the series and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it!
Raff is Cathian's cousin and obviously he is Tryleskian as well. Only as we realise he is not one hundred per cent Tryleskian. Taking a lot from his mother's biological race, his mating process is somehow different and his anatomy is completely different.
Moreover unlikely Cathian's childhood, he did not have an easy life as a kid. That was the reason that he visits G4, an unfriendly dangerous planet and his childhood home, to get his revenge. A revenge that he vowed to have. There he realises that the person he wanted to kill is not longer available and alive.
Instead Raff manages to save a pretty small human girl, Lilly.
Lilly wanted to visit space, seek adventure and meet many aliens. Unfortunately alien pirates have abducted her and she was on her way as a pleasure slave, until the cat-man saves her.
Raff and Lilly will try to stay alive at G4 until Vorge returns and rescue them.
Perfect opportunity for some interesting mating.
