More Hudson 😍
It is well-known that love changes everything and everyone.
Take Hudson for example.
He used to be a cruel manipulated bastard who used to love playing sick twisted mind games with his best friend and used to enjoy seeing other people's bright futures crashing down after his ploys altered their lives.
Brilliant example of a nasty human being.

Now, Hudson is a changed man. A married man. A loving father. He loves his wife and his children more than his life. He would do anything for them.
-of course he is still a cruel businessman-

Unfortunately, although his wife had managed to resist his cruelty and beat him in his game and transformed him and taught him to love, there are all the other victims who .... well...hmm...err... were destroyed in various levels. There are actually a number of diaries that his best friend Celia had been keeping which were describing their “experiments” with their numerous victims.

So, I guess it is a natural development that one of these victims would have somehow flipped and decided to revenge Hudson.

But who is this person? Who wants to harm Hudson and his family?
Who hates him the most?

The story of “Fixed Forever” revolves around this mystery. And it is really interesting to realise how many people hate Hudson and Celia and for what kind of crazy reasons.

I enjoyed the story. It was not that erotic or sexy as the first three books. The story is more about understanding, acceptance and forgiveness. Hudson and Alayna, his wife, love deeply each other but they have reached a turning point and they need to re-evaluate their promises and build again on more stronger foundations.

Celia...what can I say about Celia? I never liked her. At least she was a bit more tolerable in this book. Not much.
Alayna was once more a SUPER girl. I really love her character.
But as you have realised this book is more about Hudson: The guy that I love to hate LOL

Falling Under You (Fixed #4.5)  by Laurelin Paige 

SUMMARY

Norma Anders has always prided herself on her intelligence and determination. She climbed out of poverty, put herself through school and is now a chief financial advisor at Pierce Industries. She’s certainly a woman who won’t be topped. Not in business anyway.

But she’s pretty sure she’d like to be topped in the bedroom.

Unfortunately most men see independence and ambition in a woman and they run. Even her dominant boss, Hudson Pierce has turned down her advances, leaving her to fear that she will never find the lover she’s longing for.

MY REVIEW

"Fixed" is easily in my top 5 best trilogies featuring a Controlling Sexy Alpha.
Norma is Hudson's dynamic employee we met in the previous books. Back then she was not very likable and she had a strange kinky relationship with her trustworthy assistant, Boyd.

In this book (4.5 in the series), we exploit her relationship with the 9 years younger than her Boyd. We learn how their relationship started, how it developed, what sacrifices have been made by both of them and how the others accepted their relationship.

The book is structured in a way that it can also be read as a standalone. Although if you have not read "Fixed", I suggest you do because they are excellent books.

I really liked Boyd

-He is possessive and he is jealous without being a total bastard:
"Hudson Pierce is not the man for you",
".... each stamp to say PROPERTY OF BOYD",
"You gave me your only gift I wanted, your submission"

-He is caring
"I want to give what nobody else gives you. A break.",
«I can give you your computer if you want it. Or we can talk. Or I can listen. I can make you a bath. I can take one with you. Pretend I am not here, or use me how you need me. Whatever you want."

-He is such a playful sweetheart,
"if you want to get punished for something, I can punish you."

Norma has been always the top: Top of her class, eldest child in her family, best employee. She never has time to relax and she does not have anybody who cares for her without asking for anything back.

And then Boyd appears in her life and everything changes:

"You have loved me for quite some time, haven't you?"

I really love this book! Just excellent! 

Chandler (Fixed #5) by Laurelin Paige

SUMMARY

I'm good in a boardroom, but I’m better in the bedroom. Much better. I can charm the skirt off any woman in one encounter. I'll even give her an orgasm before I put her in a cab. Or three. No more or she’ll start making plans for the future and I'm not into that.

Or I wasn’t until Genevieve Fasbender. She's the first woman in five years that I want to spend the whole night with. And she's the first woman who’s told me I'm not what she wants in a lover, even after multiple O’s. She’s brash and bold and stubborn as hell, and she doesn’t believe it’s possible to satisfy her.

But I’m up for the challenge.

And after an incident in my brother’s office closet―a downright dirty incident―I think I’m just the guy to deliver.

Genevieve Fasbender will never know what’s coming.

MY REVIEW

“Hudson’s younger brother”. This should have been the most appropriate title for this book.

I don’t normally compare the main characters from different books, I hate it. But this time I could not avoid it because Chandler is doing it himself. He keeps comparing himself with his big brother Hudson. And I am sorry about this, but Chandler is definitely loosing.

Let’s see a few examples, exactly as Chandler points them out:

“As nice as my office is, Hudson’s is nicer.”
“Hudson makes deals I’m not caught up on. There is a lot he doesn’t tell me.”
“Hudson is not very predictable.”
“The only way to get Hudson to divulge information is to pretend I’m in the know.”
“Hudson’s instincts are almost always good.”
“Sometimes I think everyone just expects me to be Hudson’s lackey forever.”
“Hudson is always working.”
“There is always truth underscoring Hudson’s words.”
“My father is so business minded like Hudson. Sometimes it’s like I can’t possibly share his DNA.”
etc.

See what I mean? How can anyone compete with Hudson and win?

The problem is that this is Chandler’s book. I wanted him to be the top guy. It was obvious that he is at his brother shadow and nobody takes him seriously.

When Hudson takes charge, Chandler vanishes – especially when the big secret comes out at Hamptons’ home. I didn’t even cared or paid attention to the Chandler’s thoughts which is sharing with me. At their confrontation, Hudson has the strong, wise voice and Chandler is once more the naughty child who has screwed up.

Moreover, it was not very convincing the fact that although Chandler has such a reputation with women, until he meets Genevieve he is not really sure
-what he wants/needs in the bedroom,
-how he can get it and
-from whom he can get it.
And the same stands for Genny – although she admits she usually hesitates to ask what she wants.

Chandler and Genny is a charming couple in their mid 20s. Adorable, cute, sweet. They are struggling to build their career, find their dream jobs, learn how they prefer sex, and escape their families. Both of them were born in some kind of dynasties and while Genny is trying to succeed alone (not very successfully because her daddy is always there), Chandler is taking everything that it is offered by his family.

I don’t consider them very mature and I truly believe they are rushing things. They are just too innocent and their relationship hasn’t had any serious obstacles so far. It is not tested enough.

Regardless of their immaturity, I liked their story. They are perfect for each other.
I only wished Hudson didn’t make Chandler vanished from his own book several times.
It wasn’t fair for him and his girl.

Dirty Filthy Fix (Fixed #5.5; 1001 Dark Nights #72)  by Laurelin Paige

SUMMARY

I like sex. Kinky sex. The kinkier the better.

Every day, it's all I think about as I serve coffee and hand out business agendas to men who have no idea I'm not the prim, proper girl they think I am.

With a day job as the secretary to one of New York's most powerful men, Hudson Pierce, I have to keep my double life quiet. As long as I do, it's not a problem.

All I can think about is getting just one more dirty, filthy fix.

MY REVIEW

Do you remember one of the last scenes from “Four Weddings and a Funeral”, when Hugh Grant was basically explaining to Andie MacDowell that although he wants to be with her, he does not want any kind of commitment like getting married?

Charles:
Let me ask you one thing. Do you think - after we've dried off, after we've spent lots more time together - you might agree *not* to marry me? And do you think not being married to me might maybe be something you could consider doing for the rest of your life?
Carrie:
I do.

Well, in this book, Trish also does not like commitment. As one of nine sisters, she has always wanted her freedom. And her space. And her personal time. And the right to be able to have sex whenever she wanted and with whoever she wanted. Especially kinky sex.

I liked sex. And I didn’t mind letting people know about it.

Until she meets Nathan at a sex party, while she is being satisfied by a couple of men and he is watching. Apparently, he likes kinky sex too. And he likes what he is seeing.

Trish will decide to have an one night stand with him.

And I really, really needed this to be a one-time thing. Before he got attached and things got complicated. Before he wanted parts of me I wasn’t prepared to give.

But Nathan of course wants more

“Actually, I’m here for you.”
“Oh, no. No, no, no, no, no.”

Things will be more complicated since Trish discovers that Nathan is a business partner of her boss, Hudson Pierce (from Fixed series). Trish never mixes business with pleasure. And Nathan is very very persistent.

Will they reach an understanding and who will compromise? To be honest I was not entirely convinced that Nathan wants the same things that Trish wants. I was keep thinking that he just plays along until he gets what he wants. Even in the end when he somewhat finds a solution, I was thinking that it would be temporary until Trish changes the way she thinks.
I am not sure about Trish's age, but he is 45. So they must have about 20 years age difference. So, yes he is older and wiser.

I believe this is the kinkiest and “dirtiest” book that I have read so far by Laurelin Paige. And I liked it ;)
If you love Hudson, there are several scenes with him although his role is not an important one.
